AR Star

The girl loves to read. Everytime I turn around she has a book opened and it totally engrossed in the pages of her new found hobby. Right now the Katie Kazoo series is the books of choice but she also loves A to Z Mysteries. This past grading period she had 20.6 points which made her the top reader in her class. I guess what impresses me the most is that I'm not a reader so as a toddler she was not read to as much as she should have been. So I cannot take any credit for her love of books.

And I have a major mom brag: M made a 100 on her practice reading TAKS test!!!! For those of you not in the state of Texas, this is a mandated test that all 3rd graders must master to advance to 4th grade. I'm very proud of her accomplishments, if you can't tell.
